Weird & Fringe Science

Weird & Fringe Science is under the genre of Science fiction, where supernatural events and elements exist which could be explained by science. Many shows are created with “fringe science” examples are the fringe, Xfiles and steam punk. In Fringe the show, they have to study the supernatural incident that kills the victim and to solve the mystery. In all the supernatural accidents, each have a scientific explanation behind the case, which makes the audience believe that the show is believable. It is science fictional and supernatural, so when games designers are making a game, there are often games which come across supernatural horror. The game designers have to understand the fact that when creating a supernatural science fiction known as fringe science, they have to come out with a explanation and a reason on why and how each supernatural element or event happens with scientific reasoning. If not, the game would be in the genre under fictional horror. Since it is under fringe science, we have to consider the weird elements that allow the audience or the players understand the supernatural level of the game or the show. It is very important to understand the difference on how a proven scientific method and a non-proven scientific method, because fringe science is proven as non-logical science. When learning the way of fringe science work with the use of non-logical science, game designers can study the different cases of other fringe science to put into the game, like for example the time machine, since it was explain that it could bring human back or forth in time with science reasoning, however it is not really invented or work on how it is explained. In conclusion, science fiction horror; Fringe science, is a great genre for making a science fictional game because it is both thrilling and also believable as it holds a non-logical proven reasoning.
